What Is Tithing?

Tithing is God’s financial plan for His work through the local church. Tithing is a way to worship God because it shows Him that we trust His provision for our lives.

"Tithe" means ten percent, which is the portion of our income that God requires us to give to His mission. Every believer in Christ owes to God 10% of his/her income.

"And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's: it is holy unto the Lord. And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof." Leviticus 27:30
